Question By: ervin.martinez   Posted: 22-10-2008

how do i go about getting embassy duty?
Answer By: NAVYNC   Posted: 23-10-2008
Become familiar with Milpesman 1306-900 (914) and (921). The link of NPC will also help you. After that I would talk to your CCC and/or Detailer. http://www.npc.navy.mil/Enlisted/ShoreSpecialPrograms/NATO+PEP+Joint+Placement.htm
Answer By: NC_Uno   Posted: 07-11-2008
Contact the Joint or NATO detailers, as listed within link magazine or www.npc.navy.mil enlisted detailers, ask about availiblity and if you are a match for what is availible. Sell yourself for the job. You are your best advocate. Include your CCC in all of your correspondence to your detailers!

how do i see what locations and orders are available?
Answer By: NAVYNC   Posted: 23-10-2008
You should utilize the Career Management System/Interactive Detailing (CMS/ID) website. It is or was commonly known as JASS. https://www.cmsid.navy.mil/jass/index.m The schedule is also available on that site.

https://www.cmsid.navy.mil/jass/index.m This web site list the orders that are avalible. Log in and select your Rate, paygrades (preferably your rank and one up), and select shore duty. then you should be able to bring up the orders avalible.

I have heard that when you reenlist that you can get you full SRB up front and not get your yearly installments. I was wondering if i can find that in writing or if it is a rumor?
Answer By: NAVYNC   Posted: 06-10-2008
Rumor. You can contact the SRB desk.

Question By: LovetheCCCJob   Posted: 01-10-2008

I had heard recently that SRB approvals are on hold until the budget for it had been approved. Is there somewhere you look...a website, message traffic...to find out when that has occured?
Answer By: NAVYNC   Posted: 01-10-2008
Contact PERS-811 OS1 Ace Sutton. ace.sutton@navy.mil
Answer By: NC_Uno   Posted: 07-11-2008
The cause of the delay was the National Defense Authorization Act. It has since been signed and passed by the President. Delays of this nature are typically around the same time frames of the year. October (FY) and January (CY) are the months that delays of this sort occur.
